Consultancy – Roofing

We were called to investigate why there was water entering the residence. Upon going up on the roof and doing a walk around, it was imminent to see that these sections of the roof pictured above was where the problems were.

The problem was that the roofing contractor who originally installed the roof relied on only the silicon to hold the roof sheets together. What should have been done is have bonding pop rivets holding the sheets together then application of waterproof sealant (ie. silicon) and this would have prevented rainwater from entering the premises.
